(3-4 years old)

Welcome to preschool, where we get them ready for what comes next … “big kid school!”

At this age, children really begin to develop their own ideas about what they want to play and how they want to create, so it’s all about expression. Your child will explore science experiments, make art, and play pretend every day in our preschool classroom—all the necessary skills for their big next step: kindergarten!

Explore the preschool classroom

Take a look at how we set up our classroom for preschoolers. It’s organized for their age and stage of learning and development.

Open-ended questions

Your preschooler will encounter many open-ended questions throughout the course of the day. For instance, we might ask, “What color would you paint your flower?” as opposed to instructing someone to “Paint your flower petals with red and yellow.” A small adjustment can have a significant impact on your child’s confidence.

Preschoolers play their way

Kids create, play, pretend, and express themselves however they want for a large portion of the day! Independent play of this nature fosters independence, self-reliance, and lifelong confidence.

Group time

Meals and snacks

Preschoolers eat a meal every day that consists of wholesome grains, lean proteins, and fruits and vegetables—never juice or fried food.

Outdoor playtime

Weather permitting, the majority of our classes spend 20 to 30 minutes outside at least twice daily. At this age, they can really pick up speed! They can use their imaginations to play and explore during this time.

Preschool curriculum

Our incredible teachers are here to offer the safest place and most inspiring learning environment for you preschooler. Your child will practice language, math, science, Spanish, and social skills through hands-on learning and playtime.

Building brain power and strong bodies

Children in preschool begin learning basic math concepts and conducting science experiments. This enhances their capacity for critical thought as well as their memory and focus. They maintain their health by playing outside, hopping around inside, and discovering wholesome foods!

Making friends and expressing feelings

Children in our classroom are always developing new skills, including those required for forming friendships and expressing emotions. We support preschoolers as they make friends, teach them how to resolve conflicts, and encourage them to talk about their feelings.

Reading books and learning to write

Preschoolers are prepared for kindergarten by reading numerous books, recognizing rhymes, and writing. They learn to recognize similar sounding words when they sing songs and play games.

Creating art and playing pretend

By creatively expressing themselves through painting, drama, music, storytelling, and writing, they will gain a lot of self-confidence. We provide them with the resources they need to create, and then we watch as they experiment. And there are teachers nearby who are always encouraging you!
